Here is a recent project where I created a character design logo for Communications Factory, Inc. The logo was created for a pharmaceutical company using a mortar & pestle cartoon for the company logo. I had a lot of fun working on several sketches before the client made their selection. The client selected the color version above with the mortar wearing a baseball cap and holding the pestle like a magic wand.
On projects like this I create several sketches before scanning the final version. I bring the scan into Photoshop CS5 and clean it up before saving as a tiff file. I bring the tiff file into Illustrator CS5 and create several color versions before I bring this file back into Photoshop to create the final version for the client.
